MALINDI RAID 4x4 BY GRUPPO PERONI RACE IS BACK, SPORT AND CHARITY TO KICK OFF 2023

Gruppo Peroni Race is back "on track" with an event to kickoff 2023. This time, however, the drivers will not compete on circuit to crown the fastest one, but instead they will race for charity on the dirt aboard powerful 4x4. The only goal will in fact be to help the local Kenyan populations, thanks to the return of the Malindi Raid organized by Sergio Peroni’s team. The 4x4 rally will be staged on January 14th and it will be open to all owners of a vehicle, two or four wheeled, capable of tackling the dirt roads of the internal areas of Malindi, Kenya.

The event will be entirely dedicated to support children, schools and villages in the Malindi area, who are suffering from hunger due to the drought. The intent of the day will be to combine sport, entertainment and solidarity through a new participation formula: in fact, each crew will pay for the registration through a minimum offer of 5,000 KSH (the Kenyan shilling, local currency) which will be transformed into a corresponding value the purchase of food, which the same crews will deliver into the hands of local children with the help of the non-profit organization Karibuni. All this will be possible thanks to the fundamental contribution of the sponsors Contech and Magigas, fundamental partners for an event that promises to combine sport, charity and entertainment.

Charity but also competition, with a spectacular and challenging route: the 4x4 rally will start from Malindi on Saturday, January 14th 2023, with the crews moving towards the Tsavo national park, to then make the first stop at the Stage Park, a playground characterized by Tibetan bridges and incredible landscapes. In the latter location, the participants will compete with physical tests to earn the first points valid for the day's classification. The journey will then continue towards the Langobaya area, where the food will be delivered to the children, and then stop for a quick lunch at the Karibuni farm. The last phase of the competition involves a restart towards a nearby dirt area where ability test with 4x4 vehicles will take place, in order to earn further points to define the final classification. Finally, in the late afternoon, the participants will return to Malindi for the final aperitif with associated award ceremony.
